A new chapter: Kieran begins his apprenticeship at novis 

Kieran Bernkopf joined the novis team as an apprentice in August. Technology has played a part in his life since childhood – today, he is looking forward to not only gaining specialist knowledge during his apprenticeship, but also to developing his skills in dealing with customers and teammates.

If you had to describe your decision to start an apprenticeship at novis as a film, what would it be called?

A cool opportunity – a new chapter.
novis has given me the opportunity to start a new chapter. I am looking forward to developing myself further and learning a lot.

When did you first realise that technology was your thing?

When I was about eight or nine years old and got my first iPad. From then on, I was fascinated by internet games – that opened the door to the world of technology for me.

If you could travel back in time to give your younger self a piece of advice, what would you say?

I would say to my high school self: Have more confidence in your strengths – you can do it!

Imagine you had a music system that could only play one song for the rest of your life – which one would it be?

All the Stars by Kendrick Lamar. For me, this song represents opportunity, memories and motivation.

Which product from the novis range would you most like to receive as a gift?

Definitely the Sonos ACE headphones. I love listening to music – and with noise cancelling, I can completely immerse myself in my own world.

What superpower would you like to have for your training?

A photographic memory! That way I could remember everything immediately – handy for school and work.

What would you like to learn during your training with us?

I want to understand the procedures and processes and learn how to work with customers and colleagues effectively.

If your first month at novis had a soundtrack, which songs would be on it?

All the Stars by Kendrick Lamar would be on it again. For me, the song is synonymous with my start at novis.

What surprised you most during your first few days at novis?

How warmly and openly I was welcomed – that made my start here so much easier.
