Sonos has once again released some exciting updates for the app that will enhance your listening experience even further. Here are the main new features that you can expect:

Sonos App – aktuelle Updates Herbst 2025
In den letzten Monaten hat Sonos die App weiter verbessert und an vielen Details gefeilt. Besonders bei der Warteschlange wurde die Bedienung spürbar optimiert: Du kannst jetzt direkt zum aktuell spielenden Song springen und schneller durch lange Listen scrollen.
Auch die Gruppensteuerung wurde überarbeitet, sodass Lautstärken einfacher abgestimmt werden können. Zudem bereitet Sonos eine spannende Erweiterung vor – mit Sonos Voice Control lassen sich bald auch Philips Hue Lampen und Stecker steuern.
Parallel dazu endet der volle Support für ältere Betriebssysteme wie Android 8 / 9 und iOS 16. Wer auf neueren Geräten unterwegs ist, profitiert weiterhin von allen neuen Funktionen und einer stabileren App-Performance.

- A–Z scroll function for your music library
You can now scroll through large, locally stored music libraries more easily thanks to a new A–Z bar and improved performance. - Gradual rollout
This feature will be gradually rolled out to all users. - Mute in the grouping menu (iOS)
On iOS, you can now mute or unmute individual players directly in the grouping menu.
New features for Sonos Ace
If you are using Sonos Ace with the latest software version 3.9.7, new features are available:
- TrueCinema simulates your home cinema setup directly on your headphones
- Adaptive ANC automatically adjusts noise cancellation to your environment
- Sidetone lets you hear your own voice when making calls – for more natural conversations

You can now adjust the volume of your groups directly without switching to a separate menu. - Optimised user-friendliness
The app has been further improved so that you can manage your music even more intuitively.

Alongside these new features, Sonos has also worked on the stability and performance of the app. With each update, the system runs even more reliably and efficiently.
