- A television with an HDMI input: Most modern televisions have at least one HDMI input.
- A computer with HDMI output: Most modern computers have an HDMI output.
- An HDMI cable: You can buy an HDMI cable at any electronics shop.

- Set the resolution of your TV to the native resolution. This will ensure the best picture quality.
- Adjust the brightness and contrast of your TV.
- Use your TV's speakers or connect external speakers.
- If you have problems with the sound reproduction, make sure that the audio output of your computer is set to the TV.

Setup for Windows
- Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI output of your computer and the HDMI input of your TV.
- Switch on your TV and computer.
- Select the correct input on your TV. (Usually the input is recognised automatically).
- Adjust the display settings of your computer. To do this, right-click on the desktop and select "Screen resolution". Select the desired resolution and refresh rate.
- Expand the desktop (optional). If you want to use the TV as a second monitor, select the "Extend" option in the "Screen resolution" menu.
Setup for Mac
- Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI output of your Mac and the HDMI input of your TV.
- Switch on your TV and Mac.
- Select the correct input on your TV.
- Click on the Apple icon and select "System Preferences"
- Select "Displays".
- Select the "Arrangement" tab.
- Check the "Mirror" tab.
- Drag the menu bar of your Mac onto the screen of your TV.
